Travelex launches partnership with Uber to offer discounted rides and travel money cards across ANZ

Partnership saves customers money on both rides and travel money cards
Travelex, a market leading global foreign exchange brand, has today launched a partnership with ridesharing service Uber to offer travellers two separate promotions across the ANZ region. The first is exclusive discounts on Uber rides when you purchase foreign currency at a Travelex store and the second is a discount on the Travelex Money Card* when you travel via Uber to an Airport where Travelex is located.
Customers purchasing travel money from a Travelex bureau this July and August will be eligible for 50% off their first ride (up to $50) if they are a new Uber rider, or 25% discount on their next Uber Reserve ride (up to $25) if they are an existing rider.
The offer will be available to Travelex customers transacting across any of Travelex’s 134 stores in Australia and New Zealand, with the discounts applicable for Uber rides up until 31st October.
Uber riders will be able to access a special discount on the Travelex Money Card, when using Uber to travel to an airport where Travelex operates (Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns and Perth in Australia and Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown in New Zealand). An in-app Travelex advert will provide a message that can be used when purchasing or re-loading a Travelex Money Card (min $500 spend)* at the airport.
The collaboration between Travelex and Uber represents the latest milestone in Travelex’s investment in digital travel experiences. In recent years the company has introduced several digital solutions that meet changing customer demands, including launching the FX industry’s first ever ATM click-and-collect service at Brisbane Airport, and a new ‘digital airport’ store at Adelaide Airport, which places a greater emphasis on click & collect and self-serve.
